At what point do people wake up to the utter irrationality of this statement?

It's horrible.
But when I read DA, I thought you were referring to the district attorney, and I couldn't understand at all why the prosecution would say such a thing. I followed the link and found out that he was actually the defense attorney. I might not be the only one confused by that....
All I can think of is that he called them infants. If he recognizes they are infants, babies, human beings, then how does he justify defending that man?? Lord, have mercy.
