Art Resource

I recently picked up The Annotated Mona Lisa in a local bookstore because it was clearance priced and it looked interesting. I have since had the time to really look it over, and I have to say it is an invaluable resource for integrating art into history studies. Full of images of art and architecture, it is arranged chronologically and will walk even the most art illiterate through the basics of understanding art and its place in history.

Hi ~ I found you from your comment on Pleasant View Schoolhouse. I am an Orthodox mother of three, and though I don't homeschool I help my husband teach Sunday School and do my best to make Orthodoxy an essential part of our lives.

Today I took my eldest (daughter, age 20) out to lunch and she thanked me for raising her with faith. As she is about to leave for her sophomore year of college, she says her faith is what keeps her grounded away from home.

I just want you to know how much I enjoyed seeing your blog.

Blessings,
Laura

Funny - I was just pondering that in the VP catalog, and wondering if it was worth it. Perhaps it is. Thanks for the rec!
